Sustainability

Sustainability

“Cintinus” – the Latin word for “sustainable”, is more than a euphonious company name to us. Today, sustainability is so overused that it is almost meaningless. However, for us it stands for responsibility, for the right choice, for trust and forward-looking action.

“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”
[not: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”]

Mohandās Karamchand Gāndhī
1869 – 1944

For example, we follow the Ten Principles of UN Global Compact. Further, we are a proud member of the Environmental Alliance of the Free State of Saxony and the ÖKOPROFIT action group (Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology.) Local authorities and cities, such as Dresden, contribute to the protection of natural resources as part of the latter action group. We are more than glad to accept this responsibility. Cintinus:

All these efforts represent the right first step for us but are not the end of our efforts by far. Looking forward, we want to continue the path we have started consistently and together. We want to contribute to a better world tomorrow, for our children and grandchildren. For more information about sustainability, please refer to the German Nachhaltigkeitsrat (Council for Sustainablity) and the handouts at the annual conference as well.
